چکیده
We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), revise the regulations for the nonessential experimental population of the Mexican wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) under section 10(j) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. This action is being taken in coordination with our final rule in this Federal Register to list the Mexican wolf as an endangered subspecies. The regulatory revisions in this rule will improve the project to reintroduce a nonessential experimental population, thereby increasing potential for recovery of this species. DATES: This rule becomes effective February 17, 2015. ADDRESSES: This final rule, along with the public comments, environmental impact statement (EIS), and record of decision, are available on the Internet at http://www.regulations.gov, Docket No. FWS–R2–ES–2013–0056 or from the office listed in FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT. Section 1532(6)). Many species have been listed as endangered under the ESA in part because they were threatened in a SPOIR (e.g., FWS 1990, 1995, 2000). On 16...
